TAI Woffinden has landed a deal in Sweden with Masarna for next season.
Woffinden, the current World Champion, admits he’s excited by a new challenge after leaving Vetlanda.
And he says the opportunity to race for a club with such a big reputation is one he is keen to make the most of.
”I’m delighted to have finalised my plans for Sweden next season,” he said. ”Especially with a club like Masarna.
”They have a good reputation and I’m hoping I can move there and help them reach the play-offs this time next year.
”I like the idea of a new challenge in Sweden and I’m hoping this move will prove to be a good one for both myself and Masarna.”
Masarna have a rich tradition with some of the best riders in the world, including the greatest of the modern era Tony Rickardsson who was a huge favourite with fans.
And club sporting manager Roger Uppgard said: ”This is a very exciting move for the club, we are delighted to welcome Tai.
”As soon as we became aware of his availability we wanted to sign him because we were in the leading pack for a lot of this season and missed out towards the end.
”Hopefully we can go one better next season and make it to the play-offs with the help of Tai.”
